ISU theatre student Rob Hornbostel hosts a racist Martin Luther King Jr Day “celebration” claiming to represent his legacy by serving fried chicken, cornbread, “purple drank” and watching Black Dynamite. Now he’s been awarded with a nomination for the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Foundation (KCACTF) national competition for sound work on Naomi Iizuka’s “Anon(ymous),” a play that focuses on the very racism Hornbostel is perpetuating.
